Por qué a la gente le encanta

8.82320 reseñas
  • Unbeatable 2-bedroom suites that sleep six for under $150
  • Direct, frequent shuttle access to Universal parks (better than Disney's buses)
  • Bright, airy 'coastal' vibe that doesn't feel dingy or cheap

Resumen rápido: It’s a glorified dorm for families—cheap, loud, and chaotic, but it gets the job done for park warriors.

Reseñado por @walkintheparktravelI stayed in this suite and it’s a total lifesaver for families. Having a separate bedroom meant I actually got some rest, and seeing Hogwarts from the window made the kids lose their minds. It’s affordable and super practical.

The hype

Families love the space and price, but everyone complains about the noise.

Reality check

The 'resort' feel evaporates when you're waiting 15 minutes for an elevator or listening to a toddler scream through the connecting door at 1 AM.

  • You are a 'rope drop to park close' family who just needs a bed
  • You have more than 4 people and refuse to book two rooms
  • You want early park admission without paying $500/night

Limpieza y Mantenimiento

8.2
  • Housekeeping: Generally reliable daily service, though high turnover means occasional missed dust on ledges.
  • Bathroom hygiene: Grout is usually white and clean; toilets are loud but functional. Occasional reports of slow drains.
  • Maintenance: Newer property (opened 2020), so wear and tear is minimal, but cheap materials scuff easily.
  • Linens & towels: Towels are small and slightly scratchy (motel grade). Sheets are crisp but thin.
  • Odors & scents: Lobby smells like 'sea salt and coconut' (pumped in); rooms are generally neutral but can get musty if AC is off.

Sleepability™

4.5MODERADO
MODERADO
0-4RUIDOSO
4-7.5MODERADO
7.5-10SILENCIOSO
  • Thin walls between connecting rooms
  • Hallway foot traffic on hard floors
  • Plumbing noise (toilets flushing loudly)

Antes de reservar

Es bueno saberlo

  • There is NO resort fee, only a parking fee ($26/night)
  • You can text the front desk for extra towels or questions (service is surprisingly responsive)
  • Mobile check-in is a must to skip the massive lobby lines

Qué llevar

  • High-quality earplugs or a white noise machine (non-negotiable)
  • Power strip (outlets can be scarce in standard rooms)
  • Pool towels (hotel ones are small and scratchy)

Genio de Habitaciones

Mejores opciones

  • Tower 1, high floor (10+), end of hallway for least foot traffic
  • 2-Bedroom Suites (unbeatable value for groups)

Habitaciones a evitar

  • Rooms near the elevators or ice machines (high traffic noise)
  • Ground floor rooms (noisy and lack privacy)
  • Connecting rooms if you aren't using both (sound leaks)

Genio de Solicitud de Habitación – copiar y pegar

I am requesting a room in Tower 1, ideally on a high floor (10+) and located at the end of the hallway to minimize noise. Please avoid connecting rooms if possible.

Preguntas frecuentes y consejos ocultos

Todo lo que realmente quieres saber antes de reservar.

Is there a free shuttle to the parks?

Yes, and it's excellent. Buses run every ~15 minutes to CityWalk (for Studios/Islands) and have a dedicated route to Volcano Bay.

Does this hotel include Express Pass?

No. Only Premier hotels (Hard Rock, Portofino, Royal Pacific) include unlimited Express Pass. You get Early Park Admission only.

Can I walk to the parks?

Technically yes, but it's a long, unpleasant walk (40+ mins) along busy roads. Take the bus.

Is there a resort fee?

No. Universal Value resorts do not charge a resort fee, but parking is charged separately.

Are the pools heated?

Yes, pools are heated, but there are no hot tubs or slides.

Is there a coffee maker in the room?

2-Bedroom Suites have a kitchenette with a coffee maker; standard rooms do not (you have to go to the lobby Starbucks).

Consejos de Insiders

  • Order a whole pizza from Pier 8 Market to take back to your room—it's cheaper and better than individual slices.

  • The 'Oasis Beach Bar' has a signature 'Sunset Blonde' ale brewed specifically for the hotel.

  • Use the luggage storage service on your last day to enjoy the parks after checking out.

5 cosas que debes saber antes de ir

  • 💡The 'picnic table' in the suite is actually the best workspace in the room.

  • 💡The lobby Starbucks line can take 45 minutes in the morning; walk to the one on I-Drive instead.

  • 💡There are no pool towels in the room; you have to get them at the pool gate.

  • 💡The shower water pressure is often just 'okay' and temperature can fluctuate during peak times.

  • 💡You can hear the fireworks from the parks if you have a high-floor room facing Universal.
