Perché piace così tanto

9.5208 recensioni
  • Breakfast served on your private sea-view terrace every morning
  • Directly across from the famous Le Sirenuse (same view, less pretension)
  • Classic Mediterranean architecture with domed ceilings and hand-painted tiles

In sintesi: It’s a glorified B&B with a five-star view, no elevator, and a stair-climb that will test your relationship.

Recensito da @stephmylifetravelI stayed at Villa Rosa and the moment I opened those terrace doors, I was floored. The view of the colorful houses cascading down to the sea is even better than the photos. It was the perfect peaceful escape from the crowds below.

Cosa hanno detto gli ospiti che hanno soggiornato qui

The hype

Guests are obsessed with the terrace breakfast and the staff's helpfulness with luggage.

Reality check

The showers are often tiny and the 'partial' sea view rooms on lower floors can feel a bit hemmed in by neighboring buildings.

  • You prioritize a private balcony with a view over a hotel pool or gym
  • You want a romantic, old-school Italian villa vibe
  • You are fit enough to handle steep stairs multiple times a day

Pulizia e manutenzione

9.5
  • Housekeeping: Impeccable. Daily service is thorough, and guests consistently rate cleanliness as a top feature.
  • Bathroom hygiene: Spotless vintage tiles. Grout is well-maintained despite the building's age.
  • Maintenance: Excellent condition for a historic villa, though some wear on terrace furniture is expected.
  • Linens & towels: Crisp, white, and high quality. Replaced daily if needed.
  • Odors & scents: Fresh sea air. No reports of mustiness or old-building smells.

  • Sensible walking shoes (heels are a death wish on these stairs)

Genio delle camere

Migliori scelte

  • Room 32: Superior Double with a whirlpool tub and a terrace that 'juts out' for better privacy.
  • Room 37: Top-floor Suite with a massive terrace and the best unobstructed views.
  • Room 33: Fantastic views, often cited as a favorite.

Camere da evitare

  • Lower floor rooms (sometimes numbered in the teens) may have views partially blocked by Le Sirenuse.
  • Room 36: One review noted a small shower lip caused flooding.

Genio delle richieste camera – copia e incolla

I am booking specifically for the view. If possible, I would love to request Room 32, 33, or 37 on the upper floors. We are celebrating a special occasion and would appreciate a terrace with maximum privacy.

Suggerimenti degli Insider

  • Don't walk up from the ferry with bags. Pay the 'Positano Porters' at the dock to cart them up; it's worth every penny.

  • Room 32's terrace offers slightly more privacy than others because of the building's architecture.

  • Buy wine at a local shop and enjoy it on your terrace—the view is better than most bars in town.

5 cose da sapere prima di partire

  • 💡The shower stalls in standard rooms can be incredibly small (elbow-banging small).

  • 💡You are literally looking down on the guests at Le Sirenuse who paid 4x more.

  • 💡The 'reception' is basically a desk after a long flight of stairs.

  • 💡The tiles in the room are original hand-painted Vietri ceramics, not modern reproductions.

  • 💡You can hear the ferry horns from your room (charming by day, early wake-up call by morning).
