This is Hotel D in Basel, Switzerland. I wanted to bring you a quick hotel review since we enjoyed our stay here and it's a very affordable option for the area since Switzerland is known to be a bit pricier. They do offer breakfast in the morning for a fee and they were fully renovated in 2025 so earlier this year and reopened. As you can tell that the rooms are quite spacious with a king size bed and a spacious bathroom easily usable for two people to get ready. The Hotel has some new modern touches as well as modern art. The only part that my husband didn't enjoy was the see-through glass between the bedroom and the bathroom but when the lights are off and with the fogged glass, you can't really see anything. The view of the city is a street view from our room but there was no street noise and it is close to restaurants, bars, cafes for brunch and easily walkable to attractions or across from a train station for easy access to public transit. They do give you a free water bottle along with some other tips upon check in due to the 300 fountains in the city you can refill the bottle with they give you the Basel Card that I mentioned in a previous reel that gives you free public transportation during your stay and discounts to attractions about 50% off. And since not all things are perfect when our AC decided to leak condensation water all over the floor we brought it to their attention and they were quite responsive fixed the issue and no issues the second night. Further details in the caption below and follow along for more tips and reviews in the future.
