Terranea Resort
Video-Tour von @livitamin_elsewhere: I took my mom on a staycation to Terranea Resort. We scored an amazing deal, ate our weight in oysters at the seafood buffet, and took peaceful sunset walks along the ocean. Waking up to that sunrise and hitting the ocean-view gym was exactly what I needed to destress.

Let me take you to Terranea Resort for a little staycation with my mom. The resort is only about 15 minutes from my house, so it was the perfect quick escape. I actually come here quite often for brunch, walking or running along the ocean trails, but I had never stayed here before because honestly it's very expensive, usually over a thousand dollars a night. But this time I found an amazing deal on Travelzoo, almost half off, so I booked it immediately. I was so excited. We took a little walk around the resort and watched this incredible sunset over the ocean. It felt so peaceful and healing. This place also has several great restaurants. That evening we went to Catalina Kitchen where they have a Friday seafood buffet. It's about ninety dollars per person, but honestly it was totally worth it for me. Look at how many oysters I had. That night we slept so well and the next morning we woke up to this beautiful sunrise around 7 a.m. For breakfast we had waffles with berries and coffee. Then stopped by the fitness center. It's a small gym but the ocean view is everything. They also have really cool cycling classes you can join if you're staying at the resort. It was such an amazing staycation and I really needed it after such a busy time at work. And I'm so glad I stayed here.
