Don't stay here unless... you want to have the best time and keep coming back for the rooftop pool and the bar. And honestly, the real reason I stay is the people. This isn't a party hostel, but they do have daily activities that make meeting friends so easy. They'll take you on free trips around the island for hiking, snorkeling, and if you're lucky you might even see baby sharks. They have a really nice lounge area in the lobby where you can have breakfast and lunch. They also have movie nights in the middle floor with comfy couches and a projector screen. Sometimes they even have pool parties with a DJ and barbecue. Another thing I love about this hostel is how comfortable the beds are. There's room to have a lot of your personal items on the shelf that's inside, but they also have large lockers for you to store the rest of your things. Also, they have the cutest merch section, it's so cute and everything is actually wearable. There's always dogs around. And there's so much to do in the surrounding areas, and the beach is only like six steps away. Another bonus about this hostel is that it is literally in the middle of everything. Just up the hill there's a 7-Eleven, and you can even try trapeze if you want. There's so many food options nearby. And right outside you can get an hour-long body massage for only ten US dollars. And down the street you can do karaoke, do a bar crawl, or you can just relax and have drinks all day at the pool. If you're looking for the best place to stay in Koh Tao, the Savage Hostel is where you need to be. Sometimes it gets booked pretty quickly though because it is really popular, so make sure you plan ahead when you want to stay.
