The Velvet Rope opens in Palm Springs California next week. This is the latest offering local designer extraordinaire David Rios (he also owns the Trixie Hotel). The property was originally built by Herbert Burns in 1951. David acquired it just 2 years ago in a dodgy state. He has turned it into a super stylish 9 bedroom oasis in North Palm Springs. The main areas of the hotel feature a colour scheme of white, black and aqua and the entrance to the property is one of David's stunning signature doors.
