Book this if You want a rugged, Instagram-ready mountain escape with built-in adventure activities, and you don't mind sacrificing some privacy for the aesthetic.
Why People Love It
Direct access to Hatta Wadi Hub's adventure activities (archery, axe throwing, zorbing)
Private BBQ pits and fire terraces with every unit
Stunning Hajar Mountain backdrops that look incredible at sunset
Quick Take: It's a glorified, highly photogenic campsite where you pay premium hotel prices to sleep in a trailer or dome with thin walls and expensive firewood.
Reviewed by @adhipa: I stayed in one of these dome tents and the mountain views from my bed were insane. Kayaking on the dam at golden hour was the highlight of my trip—so peaceful and beautiful. Definitely bring warm clothes for the evening!
Guest Who Stayed Here Said
The hype
Travelers love the 'glamping' vibe and outdoor activities but consistently complain about the noise and the price of add-ons.
Reality check
The 'secluded' nature experience is often ruined by the sound of buggy carts ferrying guests and the close proximity of neighbor's BBQ parties.
You are a family or group of friends who love BBQing and outdoor games
You want to wake up to mountain views without pitching your own tent
You plan to spend your entire day doing the Wadi Hub activities
Cleanliness & Maintenance
8.5
Housekeeping: Generally good, but 'missed spots' and dust are common complaints due to the desert setting.
Bathroom hygiene: Modern and functional, but some reports of water pressure issues and quick-draining hot water tanks.
Maintenance: Most units are well-kept, but older trailers are showing signs of wear (scratches, loose fittings).
Linens & towels: Standard hotel quality—clean and crisp, though not luxurious.
Odors & scents: Mostly fresh mountain air, occasionally tainted by BBQ smoke from neighbors or a faint musty smell in older trailers.

You get one complimentary bundle of firewood and charcoal; after that, it's chargeable and pricey.
The 'Stay & Play' package includes many activities, but check the list—some big-ticket items might still be extra.
Wi-Fi is available but can be spotty and slow due to the mountain location.
What to pack
Extra firewood and charcoal (buy it at a supermarket before you arrive to save money)
Marshmallows and BBQ food (food trucks are your only other on-site option)
Earplugs (essential for Domes and Trailers)
Hiking boots (the terrain is rocky and dusty)
Room Genie
Best picks
Damani Lodges 'Premium' units – located higher up for better views and slightly more distance from the activity hub noise.
Sedr Trailers – Deluxe units offer better positioning towards the dam/mountains than the Standard ones.
Rooms to avoid
Hatta Dome Park units near the entrance/pathways – maximum buggy noise and foot traffic.
Standard Sedr Trailers in the middle of the row – you will hear your neighbors' entire conversation.
Room Request Genie – copy & paste
“I am booking a stay and would like to request a unit as far as possible from the main buggy paths and water pumps. Quiet is my top priority. For Damani, a higher-elevation lodge is preferred.”
FAQ & Hidden tips
Everything you actually want to know before you book.
Is Hatta Resorts pet-friendly?
Mostly no, BUT the 'Deluxe RV-Campers' are now dog-friendly (up to 20kg) for an extra AED 250 fee. Sedr Trailers, Damani Lodges, and Domes are NOT pet-friendly.
Can I bring my own food?
Yes, and you should. Each unit has a BBQ pit. There are food trucks, but bringing your own grill supplies is the pro move.
Is there alcohol served?
No. Hatta is a dry area and the resort does not serve alcohol. Public consumption is not allowed.
How do I get to the Sedr Trailers?
You cannot drive your car to the trailer. You park at the reception and take a resort buggy with your luggage.
Is breakfast included?
Usually no, unless specified in a package. You can buy breakfast at the food trucks or bring your own.
Are the pools heated?
The private plunge pools in the Domes are generally not heated. The main 'Drop In' pool at Wadi Hub is temperature-controlled.
Insider Tips
✨
Buy your firewood and charcoal at a gas station or supermarket in Dubai/Hatta town before entering the resort to save ~50%.
✨
The 'Hatta Hop-On Hop-Off' bus is a cheap way (AED 2) to see the Heritage Village and Dam if you don't want to drive.
✨
If you stay in the Domes, you have a private plunge pool, but it lacks privacy—neighbors can see right in.
5 things to know before you go
💡The water pumps in the Domes make a loud 'thrumming' sound every few minutes that drives some guests crazy.
💡You have to check in twice if you stay at the Domes: once at Wadi Hub main gate, then again at the Dome reception.
💡The 'terrace' of the Sedr Trailers is just a wooden deck that looks directly into your neighbor's deck.
💡Food delivery apps generally do not work here; you are reliant on the food trucks or what you brought.
💡The dust is relentless—don't bring your best white sneakers.
