Reviewed by @marlenejaas: I stayed in the Beachfront Pool Suite at Hotel Komune and it was unreal. Opening the curtains to my own private pool and the ocean was the best way to wake up. It felt super luxurious but still laid-back. Highly recommend for a treat yourself trip.

Surprisingly yes. There's a kids' club, skate park, and a dedicated family pool, but the vibe is more 'active family' than 'resort entertainment'.

Not really. The Beach Club has music and night surfing to watch, but it shuts down relatively early. This is an early-to-bed, early-to-rise spot.
You can get dropped off, but they cannot pick you up. You'll need to negotiate with local drivers or use hotel transport to leave.
It's a dedicated zone with an adults-only pool, a massive functional gym, organic cafe, and spa. It's the best part of the hotel for non-surfers.
Walk 2 minutes down the beach to 'Locas Waroeng' for excellent local food at half the price of the hotel.
Book the 'Night Surf' slot in advance if you want to surf under the floodlights; it's limited to 6 people per session.
The 'Health Hub' pool is adults-only and usually empty while the main pool is packed with kids.
