Why People Love It

9.2228 reviews
  • Stunning infinity pools with Ionian Sea views
  • Adults-only policy ensures genuine peace and quiet
  • Exceptional vegan dining options at Elaia Restaurant

Quick Take: A visually striking Instagram trap that actually delivers on relaxation, provided you don't expect a sandy beach at your doorstep.

Reviewed by @erolbrascoI needed a total reset, and this suite delivered. Waking up, sliding open the glass walls, and jumping straight into my private pool overlooking the olive groves was magical. It felt like my own secret sanctuary in Zakynthos. If you need peace, this is it.

Guest Who Stayed Here Said

The hype

Travelers rave about the 'chill' vibe and modern design, but often complain about the lack of a proper sandy beach.

Reality check

The 'sea view' private pools often face north, meaning they get zero direct sun and stay freezing cold all day.

  • You are a couple seeking absolute silence and privacy
  • You prefer lounging by a pool over swimming in the sea
  • You are a vegan or vegetarian (the dedicated menu is a rarity in Greece)

Cleanliness & Maintenance

9.2
  • Housekeeping: Daily and thorough. Maids are praised for being unobtrusive but effective.
  • Bathroom hygiene: Sparkling. Grout is white, glass is streak-free. Drainage is the only mechanical issue.
  • Maintenance: Excellent. The property is relatively new (2019) and feels fresh.
  • Linens & towels: Crisp white linens, though pool towels can sometimes feel a bit worn/thin.
  • Odors & scents: Generally fresh/neutral, though isolated reports of sewage smell in ground-floor units near public pipes.

  • Pool filtration motors (audible in ground-floor suites)
  • occasional construction noise from nearby properties

Before you book

Good to know

  • Greece's 'Climate Crisis Resilience Fee' adds ~€10-15 per night to your bill, payable at check-in.
  • The spa is technically at the sister hotel (Tsamis Zante Hotel) next door, not in the main building.
  • Check-in is at 2:00 PM, which is earlier than the standard 3:00 PM in many Greek resorts.

What to pack

  • Heavy-duty water shoes (the 'beach' is sharp rocks)
  • Mosquito repellent (lush gardens = bugs in the evening)
  • International driving permit (you WILL need a rental car)

Room Genie

Best picks

  • Superior Suite with Private Pool (West-facing) – gets the crucial afternoon sun.
  • Top-floor suites for guaranteed privacy and better sea views.

Rooms to avoid

  • Room 610 (and similar north-facing units) – gets almost no sun, making the pool unusable.
  • Ground floor rooms near the public restrooms/restaurant – reports of noise and occasional sewage smells.

Room Request Genie – copy & paste

I am booking a Suite with Private Pool and kindly request a West-facing unit to ensure afternoon sun on the terrace. Please avoid north-facing rooms (like 610) as we wish to use the pool. High floor preferred for privacy.

FAQ & Hidden tips

Everything you actually want to know before you book.

Is the pool heated?

No. Neither the main pools nor the private plunge pools are heated. They are refreshing in July/August but bracingly cold in May/October.

Is there a sandy beach?

No. The hotel front is rocky with a wooden deck and ladder access. The nearest sandy beach (Tsilivi) is a 10-15 minute drive.

Is it truly adults-only?

Yes, strictly 16+. You won't find screaming toddlers at the buffet.

Can I walk to restaurants?

Yes, but options are limited. There are 2-3 tavernas within a 10-minute walk, but the road is dark at night.

Is the gym actually good?

Surprisingly, yes. Reviews confirm it has modern equipment that satisfies serious gym-goers, unlike the usual hotel 'cardio closet'.

How much is the taxi to Zante Town?

Expect to pay €25-35 each way. This adds up fast, which is why we recommend renting a car.

Insider Tips

  • Book the 'Elaia' vegan restaurant for dinner at least once, even if you eat meat—the creativity beats the main buffet hands down.

  • Walk 500m north to 'Fish Taverna Porto Roulis' for fresh catch right on the water—far more authentic than the hotel dining.

  • The 'Superior' suites often have better sun orientation than the 'Junior' suites; the price difference is worth it for the warmth.

5 things to know before you go

  • 💡The 'sea view' from ground floor rooms is often blocked by olive trees or hedges.

  • 💡The shower drainage in some suites is poorly designed, leading to mini-floods in the bathroom.

  • 💡There is no sidewalk on the main road outside the hotel—walking to town is a bit harrowing.

  • 💡The 'welcome drink' is often just a glass of juice, not a cocktail.

  • 💡You have to pay for coffee pods in your room after the first complimentary batch.
