De ce o iubesc oamenii

9.2210 recenzii
  • The 15-meter pool located in the former bank vault (complete with original heavy steel door)
  • Unbeatable location in the 'Golden Quarter' (Am Hof), steps from Prada and Louis Vuitton
  • The Bank Brasserie's open kitchen and soaring cashier-hall ceilings

Privire rapidă: It’s unapologetically expensive and grand, but unlike many 'palace' hotels, the service feels modern rather than stuffy.

Evaluat de @travelcroatsMy stay at Park Hyatt Vienna was pure elegance. I loved opening the windows to the city breeze and the dessert at The Bank Brasserie was to die for. It’s the perfect spot if you want to feel like Austrian royalty right in the center of town.

The hype

Guests are universally obsessed with the architecture and the 'bank vault' spa, calling it one of the most beautiful city hotels in Europe.

Reality check

You might get a 'noise complaint' from security for simply talking at normal volume after midnight—the walls can be surprisingly thin between connecting rooms.

  • You appreciate high ceilings and massive marble bathrooms
  • You want to be in the absolute center of Vienna's luxury shopping district
  • You love a hotel bar that feels like a movie set (The Bank Bar)

Curățenie și Întreținere

9.5
  • Housekeeping: Impeccable. Twice-daily service is standard and thorough.
  • Bathroom hygiene: Spotless marble. No grout issues or stray hairs reported in recent years.
  • Maintenance: Excellent condition, though the building is historic so expect some creaky floors.
  • Linens & towels: Thick, heavy, and crisp. High thread count.
  • Odors & scents: Signature 'Vienna' scent by Blaise Mautin throughout the lobby; rooms smell fresh.

  • Voices from connecting rooms

Înainte să rezervi

Bine de știut

  • The pool is in the basement (former vault) and can be chilly for some.
  • Valet parking is steep (€60/day); self-parking at the nearby Am Hof garage is cheaper (~€40).
  • Check-out is strictly 11:00 AM, earlier than the typical 12:00 PM at many luxury hotels.

Ce să împachezi

  • Swimsuit for the gold-tiled vault pool
  • Smart casual outfits for The Bank Brasserie (no shorts/flip-flops)

Geniu pentru Cameră

Selecții de top

  • Park Suite View (overlooking Am Hof square for the best atmosphere)
  • Diplomat Suite (massive corner suite with panoramic views)

Camere de evitat

  • Connecting rooms if you are a light sleeper (sound bleed risk)
  • Lower floor rooms facing the inner courtyard if you want a view

Geniu pentru Cereri de Cameră – copiază și lipește

I would love a room on a higher floor with a view of Am Hof square. Please ensure it is NOT a connecting room to maximize quiet.

Întrebări frecvente și sfaturi ascunse

Tot ceea ce vrei de fapt să știi înainte de a rezerva.

Is the pool actually in a bank vault?

Yes, the 15m pool is located in the former treasury of the bank. You literally walk through the massive original steel vault door to enter.

How much is breakfast?

Around €55 per person for the buffet. It's excellent (truffle eggs, fresh pastries), but pricey.

Is it pet friendly?

Yes, the 'Very Important Dog' program charges €50/night and includes a bed, bowl, and treat. Dogs are allowed in the room and lobby but not the spa.

Does the hotel have parking?

Yes, valet is ~€60/day. There is also a public garage (Garage Am Hof) directly in front of the hotel for slightly less.

What is the best way to get there from the airport?

Taxi/Uber takes ~30 mins (approx €50-60). The CAT train is faster (16 mins) but requires a transfer to the U-Bahn.

Are the rooms quiet?

Street noise is non-existent due to heavy windows, but request a non-connecting room to avoid hearing your neighbors.

Sfaturi de Insider

  • The TVs in the rooms are often hidden behind mirrors—look for the remote before you panic.

  • Visit the 'Living Room' for a cigar and whisky; it's a hidden gem within the hotel that feels like a private club.

  • Ask the concierge for a reservation at 'Zum Schwarzen Kameel' nearby—it's a local institution for standing sandwiches and wine.

5 lucruri pe care trebuie să le știi înainte să pleci

  • 💡The hotel building was the former headquarters of the Austrian Hungarian Monarchy Bank.

  • 💡The 'gold' tiles in the pool area are shaped like gold bars as a nod to the vault.

  • 💡You can get a 'noise complaint' warning even for normal conversation if your neighbors are sensitive.

  • 💡The hotel is currently up for sale due to the owner's (Signa) insolvency, though this doesn't impact service.

  • 💡The scent in the hotel is a custom fragrance by Blaise Mautin that some guests buy to take home.
