Daios Cove Luxury Resort & Villas

Réservez si You want a 'Bond villain lair' luxury experience carved into a cliffside where you never have to leave the resort.

Pourquoi les gens l'adorent

  • The 'Residents' Club' all-inclusive upgrade is genuinely top-tier (a la carte dining, not buffet slop)
  • Stunning vertical architecture with sea views from almost every room
  • Private saltwater plunge pools in many room categories

En bref : A visually spectacular vertical resort that struggles with its own logistics—expect to wait for funiculars and fight for beach chairs.

Évalué par @pilotmadeleineI stayed here for a week and didn't want to leave. The sunset views from the main pool are even better in person, and having a private beach cove made it feel so exclusive. It’s definitely a splurge, but for a special occasion, it’s unmatched.

Ce que les clients qui ont séjourné ici ont dit

The hype

Reviewers are obsessed with the views and the food quality, but consistently frustrated by the slow funiculars and service hiccups.

Reality check

You will spend a significant portion of your holiday waiting for golf carts or funiculars if you aren't in a central room.

  • You book a Suite/Villa to get the 'Residents' Club' status (unlimited a la carte dining & cocktails)
  • You are a couple who can handle stairs and wants a romantic, secluded vibe
  • You prioritize gym facilities—the BXR London gym here is world-class

Propreté et entretien

8.5
  • Housekeeping: Generally thorough with twice-daily service, though some reviews note occasional missed spots (dust, hair).
  • Bathroom hygiene: Marble-lined and usually sparkling. Very few complaints about mold or grime.
  • Maintenance: Good, but the funiculars and some outdoor decking show signs of wear and tear from the sea air.
  • Linens & towels: High quality, Egyptian cotton. Fresh and crisp.
  • Odors & scents: Neutral to fresh. No pervasive musty smells reported.

  • Main pool music/crowd noise if your balcony faces the central atrium

Avant de réserver

Bon à savoir

  • The 'Residents' Club' is included for Suites/Villas but CANNOT be purchased as an add-on for standard rooms.
  • Tap water is filtered and drinkable via special in-wall systems in the rooms.
  • The main infinity pool is saltwater and heated, but the 'adults-only' pool is often quieter.

Quoi emporter

  • Walking shoes (you will climb stairs even with the lifts)
  • European power adapter (Type C/F)
  • A light jacket for the 'Meltemi' winds in July/August

Génie des chambres

Meilleurs choix

  • Junior Suite with Private Pool (balance of price/luxury + Residents' Club access)
  • The Collection Suites (newly renovated, premium amenities)
  • Waterfront One-Bedroom Villas (closest to the sea, best views)

Chambres à éviter

  • Standard Deluxe Rooms (no Residents' Club, often furthest from main facilities)
  • Rooms directly adjacent to the funicular shafts (mechanical noise)
  • Rooms on the highest levels if you hate waiting for multiple elevators to get to breakfast

Génie de demande de chambre – copier & coller

I would appreciate a room in 'The Collection' tier, ideally away from the funicular tracks for quiet. Please ensure the private pool heating is tested and functional prior to arrival.

FAQ et astuces cachées

Tout ce que vous voulez vraiment savoir avant de réserver.

Is the Residents' Club worth it?

Absolutely. It unlocks a la carte dining at all restaurants (instead of just buffet), free room service, and premium cocktails. Without it, food/drink prices are steep.

Is the pool heated?

The main pool is heated to ~25°C. Private pools cost €79/day to heat and require 48-hour notice.

Can I walk to Agios Nikolaos?

No. It's a 15-20 minute drive. You are captive in the cove unless you rent a car or pay ~€20-25 for a taxi.

Is it good for kids?

Mixed bag. Great Kids' Club (Worldwide Kids Co.), but the terrain is terrible for strollers. Better for school-aged kids than toddlers.

Is there a gym?

Yes, a fantastic BXR London gym (indoor/outdoor). Access is free, but classes and PT sessions cost extra (~€60).

What is the beach like?

Sandy and shallow (great for swimming), but very narrow and crowded. You must wake up early to reserve a spot.

Conseils d'initiés

  • The 'adults-only' breakfast at the Taverna restaurant is far more peaceful than the main Pangea buffet.

  • Book your dinner reservations for the entire week upon arrival; the best times at Ocean and Beach House vanish quickly.

  • Use the WhatsApp concierge service for buggy requests—it's often faster than calling the front desk.

5 choses à savoir avant de partir

  • 💡The funiculars break down more often than they should, leaving you stranded on level 5.

  • 💡You have to pay to use the indoor spa pool and thermal suite unless you have a specific treatment booked (or are in a top-tier suite).

  • 💡The 'sea view' in some lower-level rooms is partially blocked by the roof of the room below you.

  • 💡Room service is included in the Residents' Club, meaning you can order a full dinner to your terrace for free.

  • 💡The wind in the cove can be intense in August, making the private pools unusable on certain days.
