$1,400-4,500/ nuit

Réservez si You want to feel like a Bond villain on a honeymoon, sleeping in an open-air architectural marvel where the Pitons are your fourth wall.

Pourquoi les gens l'adorent

10.029 avis
  • The 'fourth wall' is missing, offering unobstructed views of the Pitons from your bed
  • Private infinity pools in most sanctuaries are massive and tiled with iridescent glass
  • Major Domo (butler) service handles everything via a vintage 'Firefly' communication device

En bref : It is breathtakingly expensive and you will share your room with birds, frogs, and moths—if you need AC and sealed windows, you will hate it.

Évalué par @_beegeeI’ve seen a lot of nice hotels, but walking into this sanctuary at Jade Mountain actually shocked me. The fourth wall is completely missing, so the Pitons are right there. It’s the most romantic, surreal place I’ve ever stayed.

Ce que les clients qui ont séjourné ici ont dit

The hype

The most visually stunning hotel room of their lives, but the 'nature' aspect is intense.

Reality check

Service can be hit-or-miss recently, with some guests feeling 'annoyed' vibes from staff, and the lack of AC is a dealbreaker for heat-sensitive sleepers.

  • You want total privacy and romance
  • You appreciate brutalist, organic architecture
  • You are okay with nature (birds, frogs) being loud and close

Propreté et entretien

8
  • Housekeeping: Twice daily, generally thorough but fighting a losing battle against nature.
  • Bathroom hygiene: Clean, but open-air design means dust and bugs can appear quickly.
  • Maintenance: Excellent condition, iridescent tiles are well-maintained.
  • Linens & towels: High-quality Frette linens, mosquito nets are clean and functional.
  • Odors & scents: Fresh ocean breeze, occasional sulfur smell from the volcano depending on wind.

Avant de réserver

Bon à savoir

  • The 'Firefly' is a small radio device given to you to contact your butler
  • You can use all facilities at the sister resort, Anse Chastanet, down the hill
  • Dinner dress code is 'smart casual'—men need trousers/nice jeans, no swimwear

Quoi emporter

  • High-strength bug spray (rooms are open)
  • Earplugs (for the tree frogs)
  • US/UK power adapter (resort uses UK plugs but provides some adapters)

Génie des chambres

Meilleurs choix

  • Galaxy Sanctuary (JC1, JE1, JD1) for the biggest pools and best 270-degree views
  • Star Sanctuary E2 for a 'lower' price point with a killer view

Chambres à éviter

  • Sky Suites if you want a pool (they only have jacuzzis)
  • Lower-level Star sanctuaries if you want maximum sun exposure

Génie de demande de chambre – copier & coller

I am celebrating a special occasion and would love a Sanctuary with maximum privacy and sun exposure, ideally a Galaxy or Sun category on a higher level. Please ensure the room has a clear view of both Pitons.

Conseils d'initiés

  • Book the helicopter transfer from UVF airport—it saves 90 minutes of motion-sickness-inducing driving.

  • Use the 'Firefly' to order a late-night snack; the kitchen is accommodating.

  • 💡Birds will fly into your room and try to eat your breakfast.

  • 💡The toilet area in some sanctuaries is open-plan with no door, which can be 'horrifying' for privacy.

  • 💡The road to the hotel is a bone-rattling dirt track.

  • 💡You might find moths the size of your hand in your room at night.

  • 💡There are no TVs, radios, or clocks in the rooms—forced digital detox.
