Treehouse Villas - Adult Only

Book this if You want to live out a childhood 'Swiss Family Robinson' fantasy but with air conditioning, private plunge pools, and zero kids.

Why People Love It

9.6233 reviews
  • The 'Ewok Village' aesthetic is genuinely unique—duplex villas suspended in the canopy
  • Total isolation at the northern tip of the island (accessible only by boat)
  • Hammock-shaped bathtubs that are actually comfortable

Quick Take: A stunningly photogenic jungle hideaway where you are completely captive to the resort's dining and transfer pricing.

Reviewed by @littlewanderingwrenI was blown away by this stay! After the speedboat ride, getting upgraded to a beachfront villa with its own pool was the best surprise. The hammock bath is wild, and the whole place feels so private and romantic. Definitely one of my favorite spots in Thailand.

Guest Who Stayed Here Said

The hype

Reviewers are obsessed with the unique treehouse design and the 'sparkling' cleanliness despite the jungle setting.

Reality check

The food is consistently rated as 'good but expensive' because guests feel trapped with no other easy options.

  • You're a honeymooner who wants privacy and doesn't plan to leave the room much
  • You're okay with nature sounds (cicadas, birds) as your white noise
  • You want a pool in your actual living room

Cleanliness & Maintenance

9.5
  • Housekeeping: Impeccable. Daily service is thorough, even in the open-air sections.
  • Bathroom hygiene: Spotless. No reports of mold despite the humid environment.
  • Maintenance: Excellent. The 'weathered wood' look is intentional design, not neglect.
  • Linens & towels: High quality, fresh, and replaced daily if requested.
  • Odors & scents: Fresh jungle air. No musty smells reported in the AC bedrooms.

Before you book

Good to know

  • The resort is strictly Adults Only (16+), but it shares some facilities (like the spa and Italian restaurant) with the family-friendly Paradise Koh Yao next door.
  • Drone flying is banned over the villas to protect privacy, but allowed over the water.
  • The 'minibar' often includes complimentary soft drinks, but verify upon arrival.

What to pack

  • Slip-on shoes for the constant indoor/outdoor transitions
  • Mosquito repellent (the resort provides some, but bring your preferred brand)
  • Motion sickness pills if the 50-minute speedboat ride from Phuket worries you

Room Genie

Best picks

  • TreeHouse Villa (Upper Level): For the classic experience. Request a high row for better sea views and privacy.
  • Beachfront Pool Villa: If you hate stairs and want direct sand access (but less privacy from people walking on the beach).

Rooms to avoid

  • Lower-tier TreeHouse Villas near the pathways if you want total privacy in your plunge pool.

I am celebrating a special occasion and would love a TreeHouse Villa in the highest row possible (like villa 305) for maximum privacy and unobstructed ocean views.

FAQ & Hidden tips

Everything you actually want to know before you book.

How do I get there?

Fly to Phuket (HKT) or Krabi (KBV). The resort arranges a scheduled speedboat transfer (~1,500 THB/person) from Yacht Haven Marina or Tha Len Pier. It takes about 50-60 minutes.

Is the beach swimmable?

Only at high tide. At low tide, it reveals a rocky, muddy flat. Use the free kayaks during high tide.

Can I walk to other restaurants?

No. You are surrounded by jungle and cliffs. You must take a resort shuttle (paid) or taxi to the main village (20 min drive) to eat elsewhere.

Are there bugs in the room?

The sleeping area is sealed and AC-controlled, but the downstairs living area is open-air. You will see geckos, moths, and maybe a monkey or hornbill nearby.

Is it really adults only?

Yes, for the TreeHouse Villas themselves. However, the neighboring sister resort allows kids, and you might see them if you dine at the shared beachfront restaurants.

What is the deposit policy?

Standard credit card hold upon check-in for incidentals. Ensure you have a card with no foreign transaction fees.

Insider Tips

  • The 'Sundowners' bar faces East, so you actually get sunrise views, not sunset. For sunset, you need to take a boat or drive to the other side of the island.

  • Kayak rental is surprisingly cheap (~170 THB) compared to other luxury resorts—use them to paddle to nearby empty beaches.

  • Book your spa treatments in advance; the slots fill up quickly with guests from both resorts.

5 things to know before you go

  • 💡The 'open-air' downstairs living room means your furniture might feel slightly damp in high humidity.

  • 💡You have to cross a suspension bridge to enter your villa—it bounces, so hold the rail.

  • 💡The 'hammock bath' is cool but takes a long time to fill; start the water early.

  • 💡The resort shares a 'grotto' steam room with the sister hotel that looks like a cave set.

  • 💡Hornbills are everywhere and they are loud—it's a birdwatcher's dream but a light sleeper's wake-up call.
