Pourquoi les gens l'adorent

9.8288 avis
  • Unobstructed, panoramic sea views from every single room
  • Antonio and his brothers provide legendary, personal hospitality (including luggage hauling)
  • Spotless cleanliness that outshines 5-star resorts

En bref : A family-run gem that trades a lobby and pool for massive views and genuine warmth.

Évalué par @simply_capturedmywrldI booked this spot for the view and it totally delivered. The room is super traditional and cozy, but stepping onto that balcony felt like living in a movie. Watching the boats from my private terrace was the best part of my Positano trip.

Ce que les clients qui ont séjourné ici ont dit

The hype

Guests universally adore the hosts (Antonio, David, Stefano) and the breathtaking balcony views.

Reality check

The stairs are a serious workout, and parking in Positano is a nightmare (though the hotel can arrange a spot for ~€50/day).

  • You are fit and don't mind stairs
  • You prefer authentic family hospitality over corporate luxury
  • You prioritize a private balcony with a view over a hotel pool

Propreté et entretien

9.9
  • Housekeeping: Flawless. Reviews consistently use words like 'spotless', 'immaculate', and 'pristine'.
  • Bathroom hygiene: Sparkling. Grout is clean, fixtures shine, no signs of mold despite the coastal humidity.
  • Maintenance: Excellent. The family maintains the property with pride; peeling paint or broken fixtures are virtually non-existent.
  • Linens & towels: Fresh, crisp, and high quality. No complaints of wear or stains.
  • Odors & scents: Neutral and fresh. No musty old-building smell.

Avant de réserver

Bon à savoir

  • Antonio or his brothers will carry your luggage up the stairs — let them!
  • The hotel is located in the 'Chiesa Nuova' area, which is higher up (better views) but a walk down to the beach.
  • Bus stop is very close, making day trips to Amalfi or Sorrento easier than from the beach area.

Quoi emporter

  • Comfortable walking shoes (heels are a death wish on these stairs)
  • Earplugs (just in case, though it's quiet)
  • Cash for the city tax and potential porter tips

Génie des chambres

Meilleurs choix

  • Deluxe Double with Sea View (approx. 560 sq ft — massive for Positano)
  • Superior Room (great balance of space and view)

Chambres à éviter

  • Standard rooms are smaller (280 sq ft) but still have the view; upgrade if you have lots of luggage.

Génie de demande de chambre – copier & coller

Hi Antonio, we are so excited to visit. If available, we would love to book one of the Deluxe rooms for the extra space. A high floor for the most unobstructed view would be amazing.

FAQ et astuces cachées

Tout ce que vous voulez vraiment savoir avant de réserver.

Is there an elevator?

No. You must walk up about 60-80 steps from Viale Pasitea to the reception.

Is breakfast included?

Usually no. Some guests report a stocked minibar with snacks, but there is no breakfast room. Plan to eat at a nearby cafe.

Does it have a pool?

No. Do not confuse this guest house with the private rental 'Villa Nettuno' that has a pool.

How far is the beach?

Fornillo Beach is a 10-15 minute walk down (lots of stairs). Spiaggia Grande is about 15-20 minutes.

Is there parking?

Not on-site. The hotel can arrange a spot in a private garage nearby for approx €40-50/day.

Is there Wi-Fi?

Yes, free Wi-Fi is available and generally reliable.

Conseils d'initiés

  • The minibar is often stocked with free water and soft drinks — a rare perk in Positano.

  • Ask Antonio for restaurant reservations; he has pull at the best local spots.

  • Use the internal Positano bus (Mobility Amalfi Coast) to get back up the hill if you're tired; the stop is nearby.

5 choses à savoir avant de partir

  • 💡The 'lobby' is basically a small desk; this is a home, not a hotel.

  • 💡The shower pressure is surprisingly good for an old Italian villa.

  • 💡You are right next to 'Ristorante Da Costantino', one of the best value spots in town.

  • 💡The walk *down* to the beach is easy; the walk *back up* is brutal (take the bus).

  • 💡The tiles in the rooms are classic Vietri ceramics — beautiful and authentic.
