The Londoner Hotel Sliema
Visite vidéo par @TheWonderingEnglishman: I requested a high floor but got stuck on floor 3. The noise was unbearable—kegs at 6:50 AM and thin ceilings meant I heard everything. Only stay here if you want to be in the middle of the action and don't mind the noise. Honest 3/10 from me.

À propos de cette vidéo
An unfiltered, honest review of The Londoner Hotel in Sliema, Malta. While the hotel boasts a prime location with easy access to Valletta, bars, and shopping, the reality of the stay fell short of expectations. The creator highlights significant noise issues caused by 'trendy' exposed ceilings, which acted as an acoustic disaster, allowing sound to travel freely between rooms. Despite a request for a high floor, the creator was placed on the third floor, resulting in early morning wake-up calls from clattering kegs and thumping music from the bar. The review contrasts the busy, built-up nature of Sliema with the historic charm of Valletta or the peace of Gozo, ultimately rating the experience a 3/10 due to poor sleep quality and service failures.

Sleepless nights. If you're looking at this thinking it's a proper hotel, think again. The Londoner does have its perks. It's in Sliema, a prime location for easy access to Valletta. Plenty of bars, restaurants and shopping within walking distance and decent public transport links to the rest of Malta. If you want to be in the middle of the action, this might seem like the place. But here is the reality. The exposed ceilings might look trendy, but they're an acoustic disaster. You'll hear every footstep, every chair scrape, and every muffled conversation from above, below and next to you. And if you're on a lower floor like I was, stuck on floor 3 despite requesting to be on a high floor, be prepared for a night of thumping music from the bar and the lovely sound of kegs clattering as you're rudely awakened at 6:50 in the morning. Sliema itself is convenient but it's not the Malta you see on postcards. It's busy, built up and lacks the historic charm of Valletta or the peaceful beauty of Gozo. If you're here for convenience, fine. If you're dreaming of the true Maltese escape, you might want to look elsewhere. The Londoner, much like London itself, hypes itself up but fails to deliver. 3 out of 10.
