Authentic 'glamping' tents with outdoor showers and private decks
Incredible hospitality from owners Abram and Nanette
The unique 'Walk with Giraffes' experience you can't do at big parks
クイックテイク: A charming, family-run 'soft safari' that feels wild enough for a first-timer but comfortable enough for your mother-in-law.
@Romanroamstheworld によるレビュー: I honestly didn't miss my phone once. Being in the open vehicle with giraffes running alongside us felt like a movie, but better because it was real silence. If you need to unplug and just breathe, this is the place.

The hype
Guests universally adore the personal attention from the family owners and the spotless, high-end feel of the tents.
Reality check
Some travelers expecting a massive national park experience find the reserve size (and game variety) smaller than Kruger.
You want to hear lions roar at night (from a sanctuary) while sleeping in a luxury tent
You are traveling with kids and want a safe, malaria-free bush introduction
You value extreme cleanliness—reviews consistently hit 9.8/10
清潔さと保守管理

Housekeeping: Immaculate. Reviews consistently cite 'spotless' tents, which is hard to achieve in a dusty environment.
Bathroom hygiene: Pristine. Outdoor showers are kept free of debris; indoor bathrooms are modern and mold-free.
Maintenance: Excellent. Canvas is taut, zippers work, and wood decks are well-oiled.
Linens & towels: High quality, crisp white percale bedding that feels hotel-grade, not camping-grade.
Odors & scents: Fresh bush air and subtle thatch smell; no mustiness.

FAQ と隠された便利な使い方
ご予約前に本当に知りたいことすべて
Is it really malaria-free?
Yes, 100%. No medication needed, making it ideal for pregnant travelers and young kids.
Can we see the Big 5?
Not free-roaming together. They have lions in a separate sanctuary and buffalo/rhino are possible, but it's not a 'Big 5' ticking exercise.
Is there a restaurant on site?
Yes, the Giraffe Valley Restaurant serves breakfast (included) and dinner (set menu). Lunch is available on request.
How far is the beach?
Diaz Beach and Hartenbos are about a 20-25 minute drive away.
Is the wifi good?
It's solid in the main lodge/restaurant area but can be spotty or weak inside the canvas tents.
Are game drives included?
Usually NOT included in the standard B&B rate. Expect to pay ~R830 per person per drive.
インサイダー情報
✨
Book the 'Giraffe Walk'—it's a rare opportunity to walk on foot alongside wild giraffes with a guide.
✨
The tap water is safe, but the lodge provides filtered water; bring a reusable bottle to fill up.
✨
Ask for a 'bush dinner' or boma fire experience if you're a group; they excel at outdoor dining setups.
行く前に知っておくべき5つのこと
💡The lions you hear are in a sanctuary on the property, not roaming around your tent (which is comforting or disappointing, depending on you).
💡It's technically a 'game farm' environment, so fences are visible in some areas.
💡The outdoor showers are private but exhilaratingly brisk on a windy morning.
💡You are close enough to Mossel Bay that you can easily go into town for a seafood lunch if you tire of lodge food.
💡The owners, Abram and Nanette, are often the ones pouring your wine—it's that personal.
