As of early 2026, the outdoor pool and splash pad are heavily impacted by construction. The indoor pool is open but crowded.

Yes. Unlike 90% of Destin hotels, Sundestin does not charge a daily resort fee or parking fee.

Is it pet friendly?

No. Guests cannot bring pets. Only owners are allowed to have dogs, so don't be fooled if you see a dog in the elevator.

How bad is the construction noise?

Bad. Reviews from Jan/Feb 2026 cite drilling and vibration from 8 AM to 5 PM. If you work remote, do not stay here.

Is beach service included?

No. You have to pay separately for the chairs and umbrella setup (seasonal, March-October).

What is the 'Phat Fish' restaurant like?

Surprisingly decent. It's a casual spot inside the resort serving solid fish tacos and burgers—convenient when you don't want to drive.
