IN THE EVENT THAT WE ARE REQUIRED TO ACT ON YOUR BEHALF IN CONNECTION WITH THE SALE OF YOUR RESERVATION, YOU HEREBY IRREVOCABLY DESIGNATE AND APPOINT US AND OUR DULY AUTHORIZED OFFICERS AND AGENTS AS YOUR AGENT AND ATTORNEY IN FACT, WHICH APPOINTMENT IS COUPLED WITH AN INTEREST, TO ACT ON YOUR BEHALF AND USE THE DETAILS THAT YOU HAVE PROVIDED US IN CONNECTION WITH THE SERVICE.

In order to minimize fraud, we may collect publically available information about you from various sources. This information may include your email address, IP address or Facebook account in order to verify that they and/or your use of them are authentic.

Roomer will share Personal Information with hotels and/or other inventory providers as is necessary to ensure that the Reservations are processed, including for purposes of validation, ensuring that the User has checked-in or in order to change or add the name of the hotel guest.
Roomer may share Personal Information with a service provider, so that such service provider may send the User a gift while staying at the hotel.
Roomer may share Personal Information with third party fraud detectors for the purposes of confirming that the Personal Information provided is authentic and to prevent credit card and/or financial fraud. Roomer shall ensure that such third party fraud detectors undertake to safeguard the Personal Information and not use it for any purpose other than fraud detection. By using the Site and the Service, you expressly agree to the provision of your Personal Information to such third party fraud detectors.
Roomer may share Seller Stories by (a) uploading them onto the relevant property's information page on the Site for the sole purpose of featuring the personal Seller Story behind the Reservation, and (b) (wholly or partly) using and placing the Seller Stories (e.g. for marketing, promotion or improvement of our service) on its Site or such social media platforms, newsletters, special promotions, apps or other channels owned, hosted, used or controlled by Roomer. If you do not wish to share your Seller Story, you hereby permit Roomer, in its sole discretion, to use and place generic, not user specific information to describe the Reservation and/or the story related thereto, such as that you purchased a non refundable room and cannot use it or get your money back.
Roomer may also disclose Personal Information in the following cases: (a) if required by any applicable law, regulation, legal process, subpoena or governmental request; (b) to enforce this Privacy Policy and/or the Terms, including investigation of potential violations thereof; (c) to detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues; (d) to respond to claims that any content available on the Site violates the rights of third parties; (e) to respond to claims that contact information (e.g. name, email address, etc.) of a third-party had been posted or transmitted without their consent or as a form of harassment; (f) to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of Roomer, its Users, or the general public; (g) when Roomer is undergoing any change in control, including by means of merger, acquisition or purchase of all or substantially all of its assets; (h) to collect, process, hold and manage your Personal Information by means of subcontractors, which may be located in countries outside of your jurisdiction, including but not limited to the United States of America (all our subcontractors will be subject to non-disclosure and non-use obligations); or (i) pursuant to your explicit approval prior to the disclosure. For avoidance of doubt, Roomer may transfer and disclose Non-Personal Information to third parties at its own discretion. We may share anonymous Statistical Information with our partners, without restriction, on commercial terms that we can determine in our sole discretion.
When you post feedback or any User Generated Content, including Seller Stories, on Roomer, please remember that any information disclosed in this venue may be automatically made public, and such information, after being made public in accordance with the terms herein, will not be considered Personal Information by Roomer. You should exercise caution when disclosing any information (including Personal Information) in such a venue, as you do not know who will access or use such information and for what purposes.

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 14. In the event you become aware that somebody under the age of 14 has enrolled without parental permission, please inform us immediately.
You may access, correct, delete or update the Personal Information hosted on your Profile through the Site or by contacting Roomer at:https://www.roomertravel.com/support/contact . Your Profile will be terminated within reasonable time following your request, and from that date of termination you will no longer be able to access your Profile. We cannot restore information that we have deleted. We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you wish to cancel your account or request that we no longer use your information to provide you services, please contact us at the email address listed above. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Direct Marketing: You hereby agree that we may use your contact details for the purpose of informing you of products and services (offered by the Company and/or by third parties) which may interest you and to send to you advertisements and other marketing material. By accepting the Terms of Service for the Site and/or Service (including the terms of this Privacy Policy which are incorporated therein) or using the Site and/or Service, you affirmatively consent to receive such commercial messages. As a registered member, you can remove your personal information from our mailing list and stop receiving future communication from us by following the unsubscribe link located at the bottom of each communication or by emailing us at help@roomertravel.com. You will also be given the opportunity to unsubscribe from commercial messages in any such email we send. Please note that we reserve the right to send you service related communications, including service announcements and administrative messages, relating either to your account or to your transactions on this site, without offering you the opportunity to opt out of receiving them unless you cancel your account. It is clarified that we are not responsible for the content of third party advertisements and products delivered or services and you irrevocably and unconditionally agree that we shall not be held responsible or liable in connection thereof.
We take a great care in implementing and maintaining the security of our Service, Site and our Users' Personal Information. Roomer employs industry standard procedures and policies to ensure the safety of its Users’ Personal Information, and to prevent unauthorized use of any such information, including by encrypting information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the Personal Information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. However, we do not guarantee that unauthorized access will never occur.

Additionally, when you make reservations and/or book any services through our partners or through web sites linked by our partners, you share your Personal Information directly with those third party web sites and their privacy policy governs the collection and use of this information.
