Direct Skyliner access to two parks (no folding strollers required)
Topolino's Terrace offers arguably the best character breakfast and rooftop dinner on property
Compact footprint means no 20-minute treks from lobby to room
Quick Take: A stunning, efficient hotel that feels like a European escape until you realize you're paying $700 a night to sleep on a Murphy bed.
Reviewed by @Cldillon84: I stayed in this villa and the convenience was unmatched. Watching the Skyliner gondolas glide by from the balcony was so peaceful, and having a full kitchen made our mornings way less chaotic. It really felt like a luxurious home base for our Disney trip.
Guest Who Stayed Here Said
The hype
Guests love the luxury European vibe and food, but many feel the room rates are hard to justify given the reliance on pull-down beds.
Reality check
The 'Tower Studio' is controversial—some find it cozy for two, others call it a glorified closet with a view.
You are a foodie who prioritizes good coffee and table-service dining
You hate waiting for buses and want to glide to Epcot
You want a deluxe resort that doesn't feel chaotic or overrun with children
Cleanliness & Maintenance
8.5
Housekeeping: Generally excellent, though some complaints about dust bunnies under the heavy Murphy beds.
Bathroom hygiene: Sparkling. Marble finishes are well-maintained. 'Least moldy' reputation among Disney resorts.
Maintenance: Newer resort (2019), so wear is minimal, but watch for scuffs on the Murphy bed mechanisms.
Linens & towels: High quality, plush towels. Bedding is crisp but you have to set it up yourself in studios.
Odors & scents: Signature 'Riviera' scent in lobby (floral/fresh); no musty carpet smells.

Before you book
Good to know
The Skyliner is the only way to Epcot/Hollywood Studios unless it storms; buses only run when Skyliner is down.
You can request a 'VIP Cleaning' if you have dust allergies (deep clean of curtains/carpets).
Tower Studios have NO real bed, just a pull-down queen.
What to pack
White noise machine (essential for connecting doors)
Ziploc bags (for leftover pastries from Le Petit Café)
Poncho (for the walk to the Skyliner in rain)
Room Genie
Best picks
West Wing, high floor (even numbers) for Epcot fireworks views
Standard View studios often have partial fireworks views without the Preferred price tag
Rooms to avoid
Ground floor Tower Studios near the pathway (zero privacy, constant foot traffic)
Rooms near the elevator banks (noisy)
Room Request Genie – copy & paste
“Request a room in the West Wing, upper floor, away from the elevators. If booking a Standard View, request 'high floor facing Epcot' for a potential fireworks glimpse.”
FAQ & Hidden tips
Everything you actually want to know before you book.
Is the Skyliner reliable?
Mostly, but it shuts down for lightning or high winds. When it does, the bus replacement service is slow.
Do the Murphy beds feel like real beds?
Surprisingly, yes. They are thick mattresses, not thin sofa beds, but you still have to pull them down every night.
Can I walk to Epcot?
No. You must take the Skyliner or a bus. It is not walkable like the Boardwalk resorts.
Is the pool crowded?
The main Riviera Pool gets busy, but the Beau Soleil quiet pool is usually serene and empty.
What is the Tower Studio?
A tiny 2-person room (approx 255 sq ft) with a Murphy bed. Cheapest option, but very tight.
Are there hidden fees?
No resort fees. Self-parking is free for guests. Valet is ~$42/night.
Insider Tips
✨
During Epcot Extended Evening Hours, the Skyliner ONLY runs between Riviera and Epcot. It does not go to Caribbean Beach or Pop Century—a huge exclusive perk.
✨
The Voyageurs' Lounge off the lobby is a hidden library with Walt's memorabilia and is dead quiet for working or reading.
✨
You can mobile order food from Primo Piatto to the pool bar (Bar Riva) to get the best of both menus.
5 things to know before you go
💡The 'split bath' in studios isn't a true split; one side has a shower/tub and vanity, the other is just a shower (no toilet).
💡There is no turndown service for the Murphy beds; you have to build your own bed every night.
💡The lobby smell is a custom 'Riviera' scent that you can actually buy as a candle in the gift shop.
💡You can see the Epcot fireworks from the stairwell balconies in the West Wing if you don't have a view room.
💡The running trail connects to Caribbean Beach Resort for a solid 1.2-mile loop around Barefoot Bay.
