124 on Queen Hotel & Spa

Réservez si You want a high-end wellness retreat in the heart of Old Town where you can walk to the theatre and stumble back from wine tastings.

Pourquoi les gens l'adorent

  • The Spa at Q's hydrotherapy circuit (especially the snow room)
  • Treadwell Cuisine's farm-to-table breakfast (Lobster Eggs Benny is legendary)
  • Prime location on Queen Street—steps from everything but feels tucked away

En bref : A polished, expensive sanctuary that charges for the 'resort' perks but actually delivers on the luxury promise—unless you get stuck in the annex down the street.

Évalué par @ann_mathewI had the most relaxing girls' trip here! The hotel feels like a mini villa and the staff made me feel so special. We spent hours in the massive spa (the snow room is wild!) and biking down to the lake was the perfect afternoon activity. 10/10 summer staycation.

Ce que les clients qui ont séjourné ici ont dit

The hype

Travelers rave about the spotless rooms and the spa, but many are confused by the scattered building layout.

Reality check

The 'loud generator' noise outside some main building rooms is a recurring sleep-killer.

  • You are a couple seeking a romantic, spa-centric weekend
  • You love farm-to-table dining and want it right in your lobby
  • You want to park your car once and walk everywhere in NOTL

Propreté et entretien

9.5
  • Housekeeping: Impeccable. Daily service is thorough.
  • Bathroom hygiene: Sparkling. Grout is white, glass is streak-free. Some guests note a strong bleach smell.
  • Maintenance: Excellent. The property feels new and well-cared for.
  • Linens & towels: High quality. Plush robes and crisp, white bedding.
  • Odors & scents: Fresh, sometimes slightly clinical (bleach/cleaning products) which is reassuring.

Avant de réserver

Bon à savoir

  • The $30 resort fee includes parking, which is actually a good deal for NOTL.
  • Spa access is NOT included in the room rate; book the Hydrotherapy Circuit in advance.
  • Breakfast is à la carte at Treadwell and costs ~$25-35 per person.

Quoi emporter

  • Swimsuit for the hydrotherapy circuit (even in winter)
  • Dressy-casual outfits for dinner (NOTL is a bit posh)
  • Walking shoes for the winery tours

Génie des chambres

Meilleurs choix

  • Signature Deluxe King in the Main Building (elevator access, central)
  • Villas for groups (fireplaces, kitchens, more space)

Chambres à éviter

  • King Street Annex rooms (if you want to be on-site)
  • Gate House rooms (if you hate stairs)
  • Rooms directly facing the generator/service alley

Génie de demande de chambre – copier & coller

I would appreciate a room in the Main Building, upper floor, facing the courtyard or away from the generator/service entrance. Please ensure I am NOT in the King Street annex.

FAQ et astuces cachées

Tout ce que vous voulez vraiment savoir avant de réserver.

Is parking free?

Technically yes, it's included in the mandatory $30/night resort fee. The underground garage is a huge perk in this town.

Is there a pool?

No standard pool. There are hot/cold plunge pools in the spa, but they require a paid pass or treatment booking.

Can I bring my dog?

Mostly no. There are exactly TWO dog-friendly rooms available for a $50/night fee. You must call to book these specifically.

How far is the theatre?

The Shaw Festival Theatre is a lovely 10-minute walk (800m) down Queen Street.

Do all rooms have elevators?

No. The Gate House building is stairs-only. Request the Main Building if you need a lift.

Is breakfast included?

No. You can grab Starbucks on-site or dine at Treadwell, but you'll pay separately.

Conseils d'initiés

  • The 'Snow Room' in the spa is the only one in Canada—it's freezing but amazing after the sauna.

  • If Treadwell is fully booked, the 'Gate House' bistro often has space and serves excellent food.

  • Walk 3 minutes to 'Stage Coach Family Restaurant' for a cheap, retro diner breakfast if you're sick of $30 eggs.

5 choses à savoir avant de partir

  • 💡The 'King Street' rooms feel like an Airbnb, not a hotel experience.

  • 💡The underground parking garage can be tight for large SUVs.

  • 💡You might smell chlorine/bleach in the hallways (they are aggressive cleaners).

  • 💡The 'Resort Fee' also covers a shuttle service within Old Town—use it!

  • 💡The courtyard fountain lights up at night, which is pretty but can be bright if your curtains aren't shut tight.
