Is there a swimmable beach on site?
Sort of. There is a small, rugged cove accessible by steep stairs (West Beach), but it's often too rough for swimming. The hotel runs a shuttle to the main Weligama beach.
Is the food worth the high price?
Breakfast is excellent and included. Dinner at Tableau is a high-end 'experience' (£100+), while Ocean Terrace is solid but pricey. Many guests head into town for cheaper, fresher local eats.
Are kids allowed?
Yes, but they are restricted from the main Moon Pool. The Cove Pool is the designated family zone.
How private are the pools?
Most villas share a 'semi-private' pool with 2-3 other units in a cluster (watta). Only the top-tier residences have fully private pools.
Is it noisy?
Mostly no. It's set back from the main road, so traffic noise is rare. The main noise sources are the ocean and nature, unless you get a bad room assignment near the back of house.
Can I walk to restaurants?
Not easily. The resort is on a headland. You'll need a tuk-tuk (cheap and easy) to get to the cool cafes in Weligama town.
