Mangrove Beach Corendon Curacao All-Inclusive Reso

Book this if You want a family-friendly waterpark resort that's actually walkable to Willemstad's colorful historic center.

Why People Love It

7.8546 reviews
  • The 'King Cobra' waterslide and aquapark keep kids occupied for days
  • Rare walkability: 15-minute stroll to Punda and Otrobanda's floating bridge
  • 24/7 Pera Lobby Bar serves decent coffee and pastries when the buffet fatigue hits

Quick Take: A chaotic, high-energy family factory that trades serenity for slides and location—book 'The Rif' next door if you want the adult version.

Reviewed by @KnalvakantieI was blown away by the size of the water park here! The slides are huge and actually thrilling, not just for little kids. I spent half my day at the pool bar while the family ran around. It’s the perfect setup for an active vacation.

Guest Who Stayed Here Said

The hype

Great for families who prioritize pool time and location over gourmet dining or 5-star service.

Reality check

The buffet (Breeze) gets repetitive fast, and the main pool area is a constant barrage of loud music and activities.

  • You have energetic kids aged 8-14 who live for waterslides
  • You want to explore Willemstad without paying for taxis
  • You're okay with 'snack bar' style lunches (pizza, shawarma) over sit-down meals

Cleanliness & Maintenance

7.8
  • Housekeeping: Hit or miss. Daily service happens, but often late in the day. Towel replacement can be stingy.
  • Bathroom hygiene: Generally clean, but grout lines show age in some rooms. Water pressure is good.
  • Maintenance: The property is relatively new (2020), so major systems work, but high traffic means scuffs and wear are visible.
  • Linens & towels: Standard hotel quality. Beach towels are often frayed but clean.
  • Odors & scents: Lobby smells fresh. Outdoor garden paths can smell of 'grey water' (sulfur/sewage) in the evenings.

Sleepability™

6.5MODERATE
MODERATE
0-4LOUD
4-7.5MODERATE
7.5-10SILENT
  • Nightly karaoke and DJ sets at the main stage (can go until 11pm-12am)
  • Screaming from the aquapark slides during the day
  • Cruise ship horns if you are in the oceanfront block near the terminal

Before you book

Good to know

  • The resort is right next to the cruise terminal; views can be blocked by massive ships on port days.
  • You need to bring your own beach towel clips; it gets incredibly windy.
  • Check-in is strictly 4PM, but you can use the facilities earlier if you arrive before.

What to pack

  • Water shoes (the 'beach' water is full of sharp coral and rocks)
  • Insulated tumbler (cups are small and ice melts instantly)
  • Reef-safe sunscreen (expensive at the resort shop)

Room Genie

Best picks

  • Oceanfront King (High Floor) for the best views and less pool noise
  • Presidential Suite with Plunge Pool if you want a private escape from the crowded main pools

Rooms to avoid

  • Ground floor rooms facing the Aquapark (zero privacy, constant noise)
  • Rooms directly above the main pool bar (bass vibrations at night)

Room Request Genie – copy & paste

I am requesting a room in the Oceanfront wing, specifically on a high floor (3rd floor or above). Please ensure the room is NOT facing the Aquapark or the main stage to minimize noise. If possible, I would prefer a view of the cruise terminal side.

FAQ & Hidden tips

Everything you actually want to know before you book.

Can I eat at the restaurants at The Rif next door?

No. Mangrove guests are restricted to Mangrove facilities. You must book a room at The Rif to get dual access.

Is the beach good for swimming?

It's okay for a dip, but it's a man-made lagoon with a rocky bottom. It's not a long, sweeping sandy beach.

Do I need to rent a car?

Not if you just want to see Willemstad (walkable). Yes, if you want to visit the best natural beaches like Grote Knip on the west side.

Is there a dress code for dinner?

Yes, 'Resort Casual' for specialty restaurants. Men need long pants or nice shorts and closed shoes (no flip-flops).

How is the wifi?

Surprisingly good. Free high-speed wifi works well in rooms and even out by the pool.

Are the drinks watered down?

Standard all-inclusive fare. They can be weak. Tip: Order a 'double' or stick to beer/wine if you want consistency.

Insider Tips

  • The 'Food Street' snack bar serves pizza and shawarma that is often better/fresher than the main buffet lunch.

  • Walk past the cruise terminal to the 'Rif Fort' area for better sunset drinks than the hotel bar.

  • The 24/7 Pera Lobby Bar has the best coffee on the property—skip the buffet machines.

5 things to know before you go

  • 💡The pigeons at the open-air buffet are aggressive and will steal food off your plate if you look away.

  • 💡The 'King Cobra' slide has a strict weight/height requirement that they actually enforce.

  • 💡You can watch cruise ships dock from your balcony, which is cool but also means thousands of people walking by.

  • 💡The 'sewage smell' near the gardens is from recycled grey water used for irrigation—it's harmless but unpleasant.

  • 💡There is a cigar lounge (The Don) that is one of the few quiet, air-conditioned escapes on the property.
