Yes, especially from May to October. The Atlantic side (Coco Beach) gets hit hardest. The resort uses machines to clear it, but the smell of rotting algae can linger.
Is the WiFi actually free?
Yes, it is now included in the mandatory $24/night resort fee, but coverage can be spotty in the villas.
Can I walk to restaurants off-property?
No. You are on a secluded peninsula. You need a taxi (approx $15-20 USD one way) to get to English Harbour for outside dining.
Is the food good?
It's average. The Rainbow Garden buffet is reliable. 'Eleven/11' gets poor reviews. Piccolo Mondo is excellent but costs ~$40 extra per person.
